Youth Director: Mr. Daniel Keinanen

Hello, my name is Daniel.  My heart's desire is to bring Glory to God and to Honor His name.  God has called me to do that through Youth Ministry.  I am currently serving here at Christ Is Lord Free Lutheran Church in Onalaska, Wisconsin.  I have been doing youth ministry since 1999.  I started out at Good Shepherd Free Lutheran Church in Cokato, Minnesota.  I spent 1 year there at the Youth Worker.  God then called me to ministry at Ruthfred Lutheran Church in suburban Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  God brought along many challenges through those ministries.  I have made great friends from both Cokato and Bethel Park.  Many of whom I talk to still today.

I believe that those two ministries were given to me in preparation for the ministry at Christ Is Lord.  I am very excited to join in God's work at Christ Is Lord.  I know there will be many things that will happen that will bring glory to His name.

As a youth pastor, I see my job as developing young leaders for the Kingdom of the Living God.  My goal is for students to teach Bible lessons, lead praise music, organize events, and develop skills used in youth group.  My desire for all people is to see that their relationship with God is - because Christ died and rose again for us.  Our relationship with Him is there.  How we respond to that relationship determines where we are in our walk with Christ.  I want to see people young and old respond to God's work by reading their Bibles, praying, and telling others of the work Christ has done.  I believe there are two parts to worship; 1. Getting to know God.  As we walk with God, we should better know Him, and delight ourselves in Him.  2. Making God Known.  We have a responsibility to tell others of God, and to make Him known to all nations.  My job is to help develop these things in students' lives.

I am married to a wonderful woman of God, Kelly.  We were married in March of 2005.  She has been, and will continue to be the biggest part of my life while on earth.  She has been God's gift to me as a helpmate, both in ministry and in my own life.  We currently do not have any children, but are waiting on the Lord for His timing.
